About our Club
Situated in the village of Barnton, near Northwich, Barnton CC is a multi-sport Club developed from the original Cricket Club which moved
to the present Broomsedge site post-war. The Club membership of around 600 play Cricket, Bowls and Squash, plus gentler pursuits such as
Dominoes, Darts and Quizzes - all competitively. Originally established in 1880, this family Club plays an important role in the community life of Barnton and the surrounding areas,
providing a variety of first-class sporting facilities in the most delightful of settings.
The Club is open all year round, 7 evenings a week plus Sunday lunchtimes, with Hot Food available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and also
excellent Sunday lunches. Click menu for details. There are Social Events, Social Quizzes and Live Entertainment at regular intervals throughout the year and a
Golf Section who organise several internal Handicap competitions through the year.
Our CAMRA award-winning bar is run by new Club Steward Ashley Myatt, maintaining the excellent standards set by his predecessor, Mike Elliot, in serving some of the finest Draught (not Keg!!) Real Ales in the area, with
Boddingtons, Hyde's Bitter, (usually) THREE Guest Ales, Hyde's (Dark) Draught Mild, Guinness, Guinness "Extra Cold", plus Carling, Harp Irish and Stella Artois lagers, and draught Strongbow Cider.
Social Membership is currently CLOSED to new members - the Committee will review reopening it after 2007 Renewals come due. Note that new Sports Section members are always welcome - especially if you're any good!! Click here for details of Subs.
